Can I Cook Frozen Chicken in an Instant Pot?

While it is best to have your frozen meats- even chicken, thaw first before you pop them in your instant pot, you can absolutely go ahead and cook them in there just like that- perfect if you don’t have a lot of time.

Just remember that since the chicken is frozen when you put it in there, your instant pot will need a slightly longer time to cook the chicken thoroughly- roughly around 10-12 minutes depending on the size of the chicken pieces.

Is Chicken Broth Necessary For Lemon Parmesan Chicken Recipe?

One of the reasons why your instant pot is so efficient when it comes to cooking things quickly is because of the amount of liquid you put in there.

The chicken stock is a crucial part of this recipe, but if you don’t have it at the moment, you can just drop a chicken stock cube in there with the right amount of water, and that should work just as well.

And if you’re wondering if you could use any sauce instead, well- you might need to loosen it up a little with some water and then give it a shot, otherwise your sauce will be at a risk of getting burnt inside.

Can Instant Pot Cooking Kill All the Bacteria in the Chicken?

Much like boiling chicken on your stovetop, cooking it in your instant pot can effectively kill all the harmful bacteria including those responsible for food poisoning. Just make sure the chicken is cooked thoroughly.

In fact, it is also believed that cooking in an instant pot can kill even more bacteria because of the high pressure buildup inside.

    FAQs

    • Can my dog have Lemon Chicken Parmesan? If you would like to share this recipe with your dog, you should modify it to include only those ingredients that are safe for your canine's health. Among them, we can name of course chicken, olive oil, broth (make sure it does not have dangerous seasonings like garlic and onion), capers and parsley. Concerning flour, you can add a little, only if you are sure that your dog can eat gluten, otherwise it is better to avoid it.
    • Can my cat have Lemon Chicken Parmesan? I do not recommend sharing this Lemon Chicken Parmesan Recipe with your cat because it includes several ingredients that can be toxic or hurt him. If you like, you can prepare a separate dish for him with the ingredients that he can eat: Chicken, olive oil, capers, and parsley. To add broth you must be sure that it does not contain garlic or onion. And to use flour, you should also test first if your cat tolerates eating wheat because if it is celiac, it is better not to give it this ingredient. The rest of the ingredients are counterproductive to your cat's diet.
