Instant Pot cookies and cream hot chocolate bombs are a delicious way to start your day or an afternoon pick me up. Grab a warm cup of milk and your cocoa bomb and watch it transform into the perfect cup of cocoa

How to Make Hot Cocoa Bombs

Start by transforming your Instant Pot into a double boiler. Add in your wafer chips and let them melt down until fully creamy.

Coat the inside of your molds with a layer of chocolate. Place them in the fridge to set up.

Once the chocolate is fully set, add in all your fillings for the cookies and cream hot cocoa bombs. Top with more melted chocolate to seal all the filling in.

Let it set up, and carefully remove from the mold. Then drizzle with some white almond bark and cookie crumbs.

How To Use Hot Chocolate Bombs

Add your bombs in a larger cup. You can do 1-2 bombs per mug. Heat up your milk and pour over the cocoa bombs. As the warm milk hits it will melt the chocolate.

The cocoa mix gets released, and all you have to do is stir and sip on the perfect cup of cocoa.

  • Make as many or as few as you would like.

  • It is important to make sure to not make the chocolate too thick or it will not melt-down.

Can you freeze hot chocolate bombs?

You are more than welcome to freeze your bombs that you have and don't plan to use right away. Place in a freezer bag and freeze for 2-3 months.

You will want your bombs to fully thaw before you pour the warm milk over the top. Otherwise, the chocolate coating won't breakdown and melt.

Cookies and Cream Hot Cocoa Bombs are a fun and delicious way to serve up hot chocolate. These hot chocolate bombs also are great for gift giving.

Instructions

    1. Turn your instant pot onto sauté mode. Place one and a half cups of water inside your instant pot. Place a glass bowl that will fit in your instant pot as it will act as a double boiler, or use a double boiler pan. This double boiler works great.
    2. Add the candy melts to the bowl. Continue to mix until the chocolate has completely melted.
    3. Lightly grease the inside of your silicone molds. Add chocolate to your molds making sure that chocolate is completely coating the mold on the inside. Place in the freezer for about five minutes.
    4. Remove your molds from the freezer. Add half a tablespoon of cocoa powder and mini marshmallows per mold.
    5. Add more of your melted chocolate on top of the marshmallows to close the mold and lock the cocoa and marshmallows from coming out. Return to the freezer for about 5 to 10 minutes.
    6. Remove your cocoa bombs by pushing on the silicone side of the mold until the bomb pops out.
    7. In another medium-sized bowl, melt your almond bark chocolate in the Instant Pot as a double broiler.
    8. In a food processer, blend together with your cookies.
    9. With a spoon, drizzle your melted almond bark over the bombs. Immediately add your cookie crumbles before the chocolate hardens.
    10. Please one or two bombs in your favorite mug and pour hot milk over it to melt the chocolate releasing the hot cocoa and marshmallows. Stir with a spoon and enjoy!
