Ingredients For Instant Pot Brown Rice

Brown Rice or brown basmati rice and water are all it takes to make this rice. This is a base recipe, but you can always add in fresh herbs and seasonings if you would like.

How Do You Make Instant Pot Brown Rice

Start by pouring the water into the Instant Pot, and then pour the brown rice in.

Gently stir the rice and then place the lid on the pressure cooker and make sure the valve is set to sealing. Do a manual cook for 15 minutes, with a 5 minute natural release of pressure.

You will then press off the remaining pressure and open the lid. Fluff the rice with a fork, and then serve up this perfectly cooked rice.

Ninja Foodi Brown Rice Storage

You can then take your rice and pair with dinner, use for meal prepping, etc. Store your rice in an airtight container for up to 4-5 days in the fridge.

If you go to reheat you can add a little water or broth in to reheat it, so it doesn't dry out.

Your brown rice can be frozen for 2-3 months. Just place in a freezer bag or container, and freeze. Then thaw in the fridge or reheat from frozen.

    1.Place water into the electric pressure cooker. Add the rice and stir.
    2.Cover the electric pressure cooker and set the valve to sealing. Program the electric pressure cooker using “manual” or “pressure cook” for 15 minutes. Allow the pressure to naturally release for 5 minutes prior to quickly releasing the rest of the pressure.
    3.Carefully remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork or rice paddle
