And of course, adding in a cube of veggie stock can take the flavor up a notch.

Can I Make my easy Lasagna Soup recipe Healthier?

Home cooked meals are, in general, already a healthier option as opposed to takeouts, but if you’re looking for some fun ways to make this bowl even more healthy, here are a few ideas to get you started.

  • You can swap the ground beef for a leaner meat choice like turkey or chicken ground. If you’re using ground beef, opt for the organic grass fed variety.
  • Use homemade marinara sauce instead of a store bought jar.
  • Switch to whole wheat lasagna noodles instead of the regular ones.
  • Use part skim cheese or cottage cheese
  • Throw in some mushrooms or other veggies into the mix.

Does it Really Taste Like Lasagna?

If you haven’t tried making lasagna soup already, you might be wondering if it actually really tastes like lasagna. And guess what?

Well, it does.

It actually contains all the key ingredients you’d need to make a traditional lasagna- only you’ll be dumping them all together this time in your instant pot, instead of going through the slightly lengthy and effortful procedure of layering them.

FAQs:

  • Can my dog have Lasagna Soup? Apart from those dogs that have food intolerances or allergies, the truth is that pasta is a nontoxic food for dogs, most can consume pasta without any problem. However, I would be careful with garlic chunks, as this is a toxic ingredient for your dog. Likewise, be careful with the amount of cheese your dog consumes; Unlike humans, dogs do not have the lactase enzyme that is responsible for breaking down lactose. Hence, cheese can cause intestinal disorders or diarrhea to our pets.
  • Can my cat have Lasagna Soup? The nutritional requirements of cats are mainly based on the consumption of meat. Therefore, I regret to inform you that a cat should not be fed pasta or, at least, it should not be considered an essential food in its diet. You can offer lasagna sporadically, as long as you eliminate the pieces of garlic and cheese that come with it; These ingredients can be toxic and hurt your beloved pet.
