  • Cream cheese
  • Crab meat
  • Soy sauce
  • Green onions
  • Wonton wrappers

In a food processor or with a knife, finely chop up the crab meat. 

Add cream cheese, soy sauce, and green onions in a bowl. Mix well then stir in crab. 

Place wonton wrappers out and drop a teaspoon of the crab mixture in center of each wrapper. 

Wet finger and run over the edges. Close the Rangoon, pulling together. 

Place in air fryer basket and air fry for 10 minutes till crispy. 

Storage

When it comes to these stuffed crab rangoons, you will find they are best warm and hot. If you don’t eat them all you can refrigerate them for 1-2 days. 

Once cold it’s ok to eat cold or warm them up in air fryer or microwave. The texture will alter a bit and be softer once the rangoons chill off.

Tips and Variations to Recipe

  • Leave out the crab meat. 
  • Add ¼ teaspoon of sugar for added sweetness. 
  • If you don’t like green onions it can be omitted. 
  • Make as many or few as you would like. 
  • Air fry in a single layer so food evenly cooks. Otherwise, you might have soft spots on rangoons from undercooking. 
  • Bake in the oven if you do not own an air fryer. 
  • Spritz wonton wrappers with cooking spray to crisp up the wrappers as they air fry.

Air Fryer Crab Rangoon

Air Fryer Crab Rangoon are a crab and cream cheese stuffed wonton that is air fried to crispy perfection. A must make air fryer appetizer to serve up.

Cook Time 30 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese softened
  • 4 oz of crab meat
  • 2 tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped green onions
  • Small wonton wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, chop crab meat until finely chopped. Youd don't want to leave it too thick of pieces.
  2. Place cream cheese, crab meat, soy sauce and onion into a mixing bowl and mix on low for 3 minutes. Mixture should be completely combined and smooth
  3. Place one teaspoon of crab mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper. Dip fingertip into some water and lightly coat the edges of the wrapper. The wetness will make it into the glue to stick the rangoon together.
  4. To close the Rangoon, pull together the middle of the sides of the wrapper, close the sides together while letting all the air escape.
  5. Place racoons in air fryer basket and spray with oil. Cook on 370 for 10 minutes. If you find your rangoons need to be crispy,

Notes

Make sure to not overlap the rangoons. Or you will get uneven cooking.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator.

You can bake these in the oven as well, or deep fry in oil.
